Beginning July 1, 2010 First Liberty National Bank will no longer participate in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Thus, after June 30, 2010, funds held in noninterest-bearing transaction accounts will no longer be guaranteed in full under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program, but will be insured up to $250,000 under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

New Federal Regulation Change

A recent change to your checking account was approved by the Federal Government (effective August 15th, 2010) which will affect the level of service we provide to you. Your action may be required. Otherwise your checking account features will no longer be the same. The new regulation requires us to obtain your approval before we consider payment of your ATM withdrawals and debit card purchases that may create an overdraft in your checking account. We currently provide this service to many customers as part of our Overdraft Privilege. We will be mailing out to our customers explaining this change along with forms you may need to complete in order for you to continue receiving the same level of service you have come to know at First Liberty National Bank.
